Meet Dr. Mandeep Singh
About Dr. S
From small-town boy to the big city, and to different countries, I have experienced many cultures and challenges. Those experiences shaped how I practise medicine and how I connect with people.

The path here
After medical school I practised family medicine and obstetrics briefly in the United States, then moved into psychiatry. During residency I also completed a Master's in Public Administration, with additional certification in Health Management and Policy, at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
Early on I realised I had to learn not only medicine in medical school and psychiatry in residency, but also the politics and policy that can amplify the voices of the people I treat, as I work with patients toward better mental health outcomes.

In practice
My work in the Toronto area has spanned emergency psychiatry, outpatient care, and administrative and teaching roles with the University of Toronto in the hospital setting.
The hope is that this, together with the shared experiences of others here, helps inspire people to explore their own path to being well and doing good.
